The principle and characteristics of CV vacuum generators
There are two types of vacuum generating devices: vacuum pumps and vacuum generators. A vacuum pump is a mechanical device that creates a negative pressure at the suction port and allows the exhaust port to directly pass through the atmosphere, with a high pressure ratio at both ends to extract gas. A vacuum generator is a pneumatic component that utilizes the flow of compressed air to form a certain degree of vacuum. Compared with a vacuum pump, it has a simple structure, small volume, light weight, low price, convenient installation, easy compounding with supporting components, fast generation and release of vacuum, and is suitable for intermittent work with low flow rate, suitable for dispersed use
Vacuum generator is a new type of efficient, clean, economical, and small vacuum component that uses a positive pressure air source to generate negative pressure. This makes it very easy and convenient to obtain negative pressure in places with compressed air or in places where both positive and negative pressures are required in a pneumatic system
The traditional use of vacuum generators is to use suction cups to adsorb and transport various materials, especially suitable for adsorbing fragile, soft, thin non-iron, non-metallic materials or spherical objects. In such applications, a common feature is that the required pumping volume is small, the vacuum degree requirement is not high, and it operates intermittently.
Characteristic
1. Simple structure: The vacuum generator has a simple structure, small volume, and is easy to install and maintain.
2. Rapid response: Due to its reliance on pneumatic principles, the vacuum generator has a very fast response speed and can quickly generate and release vacuum.
3. No electrical interference: The vacuum generator does not utilize electric power for its function, instead, it’s operated by compressed air and hence is not sensitive to electrical interferences and is advisable for use in explosion prone environments.
4. Strong adaptability: It can work in other complex environments and is applicable to many different vacuum processes.
5. Energy saving and environmental protection: Present vacuum generators are often developed as high vacuum efficiency and energy-saving types capable of creating high vacuum degree and minimizing energy consumption when using small amounts of gas.
The components utilize vacuum pressure as the source of energy as well as a means for getting automated and due to these characteristics, the vacuum components have found application across various sectors such as electronics and electronics assembly, automobile industry and auto-assembly, automatic handling equipment, light industry and food machinery, medical mechanisms and instruments, printing technology, plastics processing machinery and packing technologies, forging industries and robotics among others.
