What to do if the solenoid valve cannot rebound after being used for a long time
The diagram illustrates a pilot-operated solenoid valve, where the movement of the valve core enables fluid redirection. The necessary conditions for valve core movement are:
1. The coil is energized or the button on the pilot head is pressed to open the channel that drives the valve core.
2. The pressure at inlet port P reaches 0.15 MPa or higher (depending on actual requirements) to provide the necessary pressure to drive the valve core for redirection.
If the product is functioning properly, potential issues may include:
a. During installation, if the exhaust port is not connected to other components to form a closed space, the valve body cannot maintain pressure, resulting in insufficient pressure to drive the valve core for redirection.
If the product is faulty, possible issues include:
b. The lubricating grease between the valve body and valve core has dried out, resulting in high friction preventing valve core movement. It is recommended to disassemble the product and add lubricating grease. c. Air leakage in the product leading to insufficient pressure inside the valve body. d. Quality issues with the coil, preventing the opening of the redirection channel after energization.
The lifespan of pneumatic solenoid valves is typically measured in cycles. Depending on the operating environment, it can range from several million to tens of millions of cycles. However, in some high-frequency automated production lines, they may only last a few weeks, making them consumable items.
After lifespan testing on the solenoid valve test bench, it is often found that the seals on the valve core have reached the end of their lifespan, while other components remain intact. Replacement of the seals is cumbersome and may cause functional damage, requiring customized tools for assistance.
