ST Series Shuttle Valves

Ouleikai (OLK) ST series shuttle valves has two inlet ports "IN" and one outlet port "OUT". When one of the imports has an input, the export has an output. If the two inlet pressures are not equal, the high-pressure inlet and outlet are connected. If the two inlet pressures are equal, the inlet with the first input pressure is connected to the output port.

ST shuttle valve lso known as selector valves or dual pilot check valves, are essentially three-way hydraulic pilot check valves. They automatically select the hydraulic circuit. When the actuator is supplied by two alternating pressure oil sources and the higher pressure oil port needs to be opened, the shuttle valve is used.

Precautions and Application Issues:

Shuttle valves are mainly used for signal selection, such as in circuits that switch between manual and automatic operation.

If the air tube fittings are not selected properly, causing the air intake or exhaust at a port to be very small, the valve core may not fully shift, leading to all ports being connected. This must be prevented. ST-01:G1/8 ; ST-02:G1/4 ; ST-03:G3/8 ; ST-04:G1/2

Shuttle valves can also be used in high and low-pressure switching circuits. However, a 2-position 3-way valve must be installed on the high-pressure inlet side of the shuttle valve to avoid the risk of losing low pressure.
